Grimsby Cleethorpes and District Civic Society Executive Committee members were out and about at 2 events recently. August Bank Holiday weekend at Grimsby and Cleethorpes' Model Engineers Gala weekend at Waltham Windmill when it was a really hot weekend to spend in a tent! And also for Heritage Open days in September we were in Grimsby Town Hall on the 13th and at The Kasbah on the 14th. It was enjoyable to be out and about at all events and gave invaluable opportunities to meet with many people some of whom hadn't heard about us before as well as chance to re-aquaint with others. We also had quizzes going at all events - only one of which was for a prize. We had many conversations and discussions and we have decided that we should attend at least a couple of events like these each year - time-consuming though they are!
