The AGM was held in the Crosland Suite at the Grimsby Town Hall.  Martyn Turner began the meeting by launching a new publication Local list of Foundation Stones in Grimsby and Cleethorpes (see separate press release).

After reading out the apologies for absence, Martyn Turner (Chairman ) gave the annual report and also reported that the finances are in good health.  The accounts have been submitted to the auditor.

Election of Officers
Martyn Turner retired from the office of chairman after 4 years service and the new Chairman is Alan Nicholson. The post of Vice Chair remains vacant. The post of treasurer has recently become vacant and Martyn Turner was elected to this post. Alan thanked Martyn for his service to the committee and the Society.

The committee members re-elected were Sue Milsom, Pete Milsom and Ann Turner as programme secretary. Caroline Cook agreed to continue as the minute secretary. Teresa Bassett is the Membership secretary.

After a short break for tea, we were entertained by local folk group Merlin’s Keep who gave us a mixture of old and new songs which were enjoyed by all.

Annual General Meeting
Popular local folk band Merlin's Keep were an enjoyable end to this year’s AGM - in fact visitors elsewhere in the Town Hall were attracted to the music and wished they were at our event!
