The Executive Committee of Grimsby Cleethorpes and district Civic Society are excited to be team-hosts of  YHACS' Autumn Regional meeting on Saturday 6th November via ZOOM conferencing platform.

Starting at 2.30pm, the theme of the meeting is to be Heritage and GCDCS have arranged the 3 Speakers for this event:

  • Gail Graham from Heritage Lincolnshire and NEL Heritage Network, will be talking about how heritage groups can work together across regions
  • Dawn Brown, from Engie, NELC partners, will be speaking about how Engie have worked with the Civic Society on a number of NEL heritage projects
  • Tom Kitchen, of Lincoln University and Lincolnshire Youth Forum, will be talking about engaging young people in all things heritage via Youth Forum

Although this event is open to members only, GCDCS welcomes enquiries from those who are interested in our work to encourage pride and interest in our area. 

YHACS is an association of over 40 member Civic Societies and as such aims to be the distinct voice of the civic society movement in the Yorkshire and Humber region, and our vision is to enhance the quality of life for all citizens in the region by engaging citizens in not only the protection of local heritage but also the promotion of sustainable economic development and urban renaissance.
