Renowned Seaside Historian Dr. Kathryn Ferry to Give Talk on Cleethorpes Pier
The Cleethorpes Promenados and the Grimsby & Cleethorpes Civic Society are delighted to welcome leading seaside historian Dr. Kathryn Ferry to Cleethorpes Pier on Friday, 23rd May 2025, for an insightful talk on Twentieth Century Seaside Architecture.
Dr. Ferry, an acclaimed author, broadcaster, and founding member of the Seaside Heritage Network, will discuss her latest book, Twentieth Century Seaside Architecture: Pools, Piers & Pleasure Around Britain’s Coast, offering a fascinating look at how Britain’s coastal resorts have evolved.
This free, bookable event will take place from 10:30 AM to 11:45 AM in the Ballroom on Cleethorpes Pier, followed by an option to buy fish and chip lunch at Papas.
