7:15pm at Grimsby Town, this public Talk is by David Ornsby, Operations Manager at Grimsby's Fishing Heritage Centre. David will give updates about the Heritage Centre and the popular Tiger Tours. Currently undergoing restoration works, The Ross Tiger, a 1950s Grimsby trawler is thought to be the oldest diesel side-trawler to survive in the UK, and how ships evolved through the history of trawling will be part of the Talk. As part of Heritage Open Week, entry by non-members will be by donation and is free to members as is usual. The evening will start with a short members’ meeting.
Refreshments will be available for a small donation.
